House, formerly farmhouse. Late C16 lobby entrance house, extended to the rear and refronted in early C18, restored and refenestrated in 1930s. Timber-framed building, front range refronted in knapped flint with red brick dressings, rear red brick to ground floor, (including some early brickwork) tile hung above. Tiled roof, half-hipped to front range and with series of hips to rear, two brick chimneystacks. Two storeys and attics in gable end and five bays to front; three storeys and attics and four bays to rear range. Front range has central chimneystack. Windows are 1930s metal casements. Central doorcase with C17 panelled door. Side elevations are mainly flint-faced with applied C20 framing to the gables. Rear elevation has brick stack to left side and projection housing bread oven. Plinth. Front range has lounge with open fireplace with roll-moulded bressumer and blank spandrels. Ceiling has chamfered axial beam and floor joists. Former lobby has had the stairs removed and early C20 gallery inserted. Dining room has smaller fireplace with roll-moulded bressumer and mark of crane. Kitchen has chamfered beam with run-out stop. Front basement has beam with two inch chamfer and run-out stop and early C19 coal bins. Rear basement was reputed to be a dairy and has a chamfered beam with run-out stop and several early plank doors. First floor of front range displays jowled posts (including a weathered example showing this was originally an outside wall) and original roof with staggered purlins and collar beam though the rafters have been renewed in the later C20. This farm was originally in the ownership of the Sackville West family of Knole House Sevenoaks. An L-shaped building is shown in this position in an estate map of 1725, showing that the rest of the rear range was added subsequently. The lease of 1725 specifies that a manorial court was to be held once a year. [Lease of Lullington Court Lodge and Farm to William Woodhams 1725 in Kent Archives Office, Maidstone, Kent.]
