II
Farmhouse. In 2 sections forming T-shape plan: south wing mid C16, north wing
probably later but much altered. Timber framed and plastered; north wing
extended to east, this section partly rebuilt in clay lump and C20 brick.
Pantiled roofs. 2 storeys. South wing has 3 windows, C19 casements. Lobby
entrance with mid C20 porch and door. Internal stack. Lean-to extension to
south. North wing has C19 casement windows and 2 boarded doors. Central
axial stack and 2 C20 stacks against the front wall. South wing mostly
intact: heavy plain joists in hall, with evidence for cross-entry doorways.
Remains of crown-post roof. North wing contains much C15-C16 re-used material
with considerable mid C20 renewal.
