Details
CUMNOR APPLETON ROAD SP4504 (West side) 12/10 Rockley Farm House GV II Farmhouse, now house. Early C18; refronted and rear wing added in early C19; late C19 extension. Coursed limestone rubble, with early C19 stucco front; gabled stone slate roof; brick end and ridge (original right end) stacks. 3-unit plan extended to L-plan with rear right wing. 2 storeys and attic; 3-window range. Flat rendered arches over early C18 six-panelled door with flat hood above, and early C19 eight-pane sashes. 2-light leaded casement and C20 window in 2 roof dormers. Late C19 two-bay extension to right: similar stucco front with narrow sashes above square bay window. Late 18/early C19 rear wing of similar materials and 2-storey, 2-window range. Interior: chamfered beams. Chamfered bressumer over open fireplace to left: early C19 straight-flight stairs with stick balusters in central hall. Included for group value.
