BIX LOWER ASSENDON SU78SW 6/20 Hawes Farm and barn - II
Farmhouse with attached barn. Early C17 with later alterations. Flint with brick dressings, tile roof. Barn timber frame, weatherboarded; tile roof. 2-storeys and attic; 2-window range with probably C19 single storey 2-bay wing to left and wing to right connecting with barn. 3-light dormer to left of main block, 2-light to right. 3-light dormer to left of main block, 2-light to right. 3-light casements in moulded brick surrounds to all openings except 2- light casement to 1st floor right. Wing to right has blocked ventilation slits and irregular C20 fenestration. Interior not inspected.
