Detached cottage. Early C18, possibly a rebuilding of an earlier cottage. Dressed limestone, stone slate roof with coped verges and stone stacks. L-plan. Two-storey, 4-window front. Good door to left of centre with 6 fielded panels in moulded architrave with keystone, stone shell hood on carved brackets with mask volute within, 12-pane sash in beaded architrave to left, two sashes with original thick glazing bars to right, all in beaded stone architraves. Moulded string course to first floor; two 12-pane sashes to two centre bays, blind windows to sides, relief-carved datestone: WMS / 1736 below cornice. Moulded cornice to plain blocking course. Left return has 12-pane sash in beaded architrave with cornice to ground floor, 8-pane first floor sash, oculus to attic. Right return has 2-light casements to rear wing, rear wing has inserted C20 casement and glazed door, left return of wing has 2-light casements and wood mullioned casements. Interior: Front of house now one room with one moulded Tudor- arched fireplace with cornice to left and C18 beaded stone fireplace surround with imposts and curved corners to right, C18 shell cupboard with shaped shelves and fielded panelled doors to lower part. Rear wing has deep chamfered beam, probably reset, planked doors.
