Details

SOUTH PALLANT 1. 972 (West Side) SU 8604 NW 4/169 Nos 15 & 16 II 2. C18. Much higher frontage than to houses Nos 11-14. Front face of No 15 projects slightly further east than No 16. Red tiled hipped roof. 3 Storeys Brick dentilled cornice below eaves. East front of both houses has recently been roughcast; No 15 once of red brick and grey headers alternately; No 16 once of red brick only. Each house has 1 window bay only, but the windows are not in alignment. Modern sash windows with square heads and with flush boxes and with glazing bars intact. Passage between the 2 houses beneath the first floor of No 15; before it 2 modern glazed doors with sidelights and fascia with painted advertisement over; glazing bars to both doors and sidelights. At south end, No 15 has 6 panelled door; top 4 panels raised and fielded; 2 flush panels; segmental fanlight over, Doorcase with narrow pilasters and rectangular pediment with small modillions over. No 16 has similar door in reveals but no fanlight over; door with grooved pilasters, entablature and rectangular pediment with modillions.
