II 2. Circa 1860 Symmetrical stone Italianate facade; 4 storeys, 9 bays; modern shops with central arched entrance at ground floor with bracketted cill band over. Moulded cill bands at 2nd and 3rd floors. Round arched 1st floor windows with moulded impost band the centre 5 openings grouped under a connected row of triangular pediment hoods with lion masks at the valleys between the pediments; at either end a shallow canted bay with pediment hood to centre window; 2nd floor round arched windows grouped 2+5+2; impost band and carved tympana to arches with plain keystones; 3rd floor square-headed windows grouped as on 2nd floor; heads of 3rd floor windows penetrate the architrave to the crowning entablature; bracketted cove cornice; plain yellow brick return elevations.
