4/81 Nos 34 and 35 (formerly listed 5.6.68 as being on Village Street) GV II

Pair of cottages. Probably early C19: Deeply-coursed dressed limestone, stone slate eaves courses to pantile roof. 2 storeys, total of 3 windows to 1st floor. Asymmetric pair with later outshut to rear, C19 cobbler's workshop to rear right and C20 garages to rear left (not of special interest). No 35 to left has boarded door with planted ovolo-moulded beads in ashlar surround with Tudor-arched lintel. Flanking 2-light mullioned windows have horizontally-sliding sashes in recessed, chamfered surrounds; similar windows above. No 34 to right has similar door to right of matching window on each floor. Old brick end stack to left, rendered ridge stack on party wall.
