The asset was previously listed twice, also under the parish of Teddington as List entry 1357679. This entry was removed from the List on 11/03/2015.
(Park Superintendant's Lodge) C18 brick house set sideways to the road with late C18-
early C19 white stucco front on garden to east. This is 2-storey with one-window centre
slightly set forward under pediment, and one-storey one-window flanking wings with high
parapets (which conceal attics) sweeping up to join rake of pediment. Ground floor
windows in round-headed recesses with moulded tops. Central window flanked by niches,
above which are sunk panels with swags. Band at ground floor window sill and head
level. Entrance at north side. This house is built to close the vista from the Diana
Fountain down the long avenue which meets the famous chestnut avenue there.
