Cottage: later C17 with late C20 internal alterations and additions. Brick nogged
timber framing on stone base, thatched roof, 1 central ridge brick chimney. 1½
storey, 3 bay front. 15 by 3 irregular small frames with angle bracing. End bays
have iron casements with leaded lights below, and lunettes with small pane.
Originally 2-room baffle-entry house. 2-storey, 3-bay front. 14 by 3 iregular
small frames with angle bracing. End bays have blocked window openings below and
lunettes with small pane rectangular leaded glazing above swept over by the thatch.
Near central door in wooden frame. Right gable end has toothed tiebeam with pairs
of diagonal struts and a collar with diagonal struts. Long lower brick extension
to the left and modern extension to rear of no special interest.
Interior: has quarter-round ceiling beams in 2 main rooms, and tie beam trussses
with braced through purlins.
