Country house in landscaped grounds. c 1765 and late C19. Main range, C18 to south (south front) with later wings added on north east and north west. Brick walls in Flemish bond with rusticated stone quoins, slate-hung central bay to full height, two stone plat bands and a moulded cornice. Hipped slate roof, low, behind parapet. c 1900 brick stacks at east and west parapets with moulded stone cornices. South elevation: Three storeys. Five windows, central bay is half-octagonal. Sashes with moulded flush window architraves, French window to ground floor centre. Crown glass. Orangery, now swimming pool, at left hand end, C19. Brick with stone French window surrounds. Dentil cornice and brick parapet over. Four bays. Stone urns at parapet corners. East elevation has a c 1900 brick facing and c 1900 stone porch with Gibbs surround and pediment over. Interior: ground floor rooms with restrained plasterwork. Marble fireplace with yellow Siena marble flutings. Staircase with mahogany hand rail and turned balusters. Mahogany doors. Chinese wallpaper, imitation of c 1880, by Slade students.
