School house and school room now house. c.1574. C20 alterations and additions. Built and endowed for 40 boys by Walter Calcott. Coursed ironstone rubble. Steeply pitched slate roof. Stone-coped gables. Stone/brick end stack. 2 storeys. 3-window range. Twin entrances and to left reached via stone steps have 4-centred arched stone heads and chamfered jambs. Hood mould with label stops over both entrances. 2 plank doors with strap hinges. 3-light stone mullioned window to left of door. Hood mould and label stop. First floor has a 3-light stone mullioned window to cottage and two 4-light stone muilioned window to school room. Hood moulds and label stops. Bootscraper to right of doors. Stone plinth. Ironstone quoins. Calcott coat of Arms over door. Interior converted to dwelling c.1970. Interior not inspected.
