2/42 Stables at Burnley Hall 20.2.52
G.V. II Stables and carriage house. Early C18. Brick with pantiled roofs. L plan, the foot of the L forming carriage house. One storey and hay loft. 7 semi- circular south windows to south side with hinged casements. One blocked doorway. Saw-toothed eaves cornice below gabled roof. Shaped east and west gables, the former with hay loft door in gable head. North side has 2 doorways and 4 windows, 3 of which are semi-circular, the other renewed and enlarged. Saw-toothed eaves cornice again. Hipped carriage house entered through double doors in north wall. Diocletian window to west. Dentil eaves cornice. This constitutes a late C18 addition as brickwork not bonded in. Interior retains loose boxes, brick floor and tack room. Roof not accessible.
