2 early C19 houses. 3 storeys, 2 windows each. Stuccoed. Parapet, Nos
44 and 46 with dentilled cornice below it and grooved pilasters flanking
the front above the ground floor. Formerly pleasant C19 shop fronts with
balconied over to both Nos 40 and 42 and Nos 44 and 46; now only to Nos
44 and 46. French windows on the 1st floor in moulded architrave surrounds,
those in Nos 44 and 46 with cornices over. Sash windows with glazing bars
intact on 2nd floor. Photograph in the NMR.

Nos 40 to 64 [even) form a group.
