Timber framed and plastered under a thatched roof. 2 storeys. 2-cell lobby entry type. Mid C20 2 and 3-light casement windows without glazing bars. Mid C20 side doorway. Internal stack. Small C17 rear wing with later side additions. A substantial frame in 5 bays with arched corner bracing, reassembled from C16 origins; there is evidence for redundant C16 windows and tie beam braces. The roof, also of C16 origin, has a single row of wind- braced clasped purlins, most of the components showing uneven smoke- blackening. On the ground floor the bridging beams and storey posts have C17 ogee stop-chamfers; the joists are small and irregular although they may be of C17 date. Rear wing has original side purlin roof. C19 newel stair by stack.
