SALC0MBE ROAD 1. 1633 (South Side) Barrington Villa SY 1287 1/114 II GV 2. Early C19 stuccoed villa with Gothicised details, some later alterations. 2 storeys and attic. Gable end slate roof. Gabled dormers with pointed 2-light casements. Bargeboards. 3 windows. Outer ones in slightly pro- jecting bays, bowed sashes glazing bars intact. In centre of 1st floor is a canted bay with sash lights, pointed top panes and marginal glazing. Moulded conrice with decorative iron cresting. Central rectangular ent- rancebay with fretted cresting. Porch with multiple shaft columns, entab- lature with fretwork cornice. Recessed door of 4 panels, 2 glazed. Rear elevation has 3 winiowsirecessei sashes with pointed top panes, the central 1st floor window round headed with marginal glazing. All have drip moulds over. Good trellis porch to centre.
The Hollies Guest House, Nos 1 to 4 (consec) Albert Terrace, Barrington Villa and Garden Wall of Barrington Villa form a group.
