ST 67 NE WESTERLEIGH C.P. COALSACK LANE, Kendleshire (west side) 4/343 9.1.76 Kendleshire Court Farmhouse G.V. II

Farmhouse. Mid C18, possibly earlier origin, with C19 and C20 alterations. Rubble, rendered, stone dressings, half-hipped pantiled roofs, brick gable stacks. H-plan, wing to rear of no special architectural interest. West front of 2 storeys and 3 windows, all plate-glass sashes with aprons to tops and bottoms, moulded architraves, first floor central window round-headed with pilasters and moulded head, central 9-panelled door, raised and fielded panels, tripartite overlight, moulded architrave, flat stone hood on carved scrolled brackets, bull's eye in pediment over central bay with raised coped verges, kneelers and ball finial; projecting plinth, raised long and short quoins, narrow string over ground floor, moulded eaves cornice. Lower single storey flanking wings with gable stacks and tented roofs, one window each with raised surrounds and moulded outer edges. Right return of connecting wing has C20 door with canopy and wrought iron trellis porch, French window to right, gable above with 2-light casement. Rear wing of 2 storeys and 3 windows, all C20, 3-storey block set back to right, rendering removed, 2 garage doors, 2 windows at first floor and one under eaves, all C20. Interior: not inspected.
