This asset was previously listed twice also at List Entry 1491200. That entry was removed from the List on 27 August 2024.
This entry was subject to a Minor Amendment on 27 August 2024 to reformat to current standards and removed reference to duplicate list entry. The GIS triangle depiction was moved slightly from SO5649328011 to SO5649328019. Thus placing it on the parish boundary between Sellack and Kings Caple which passes through the building. The grid reference was removed from the Details text.

Suspension footbridge over River Wye. Probably circa 1875 with later alterations. Plaque with raised lettering: LOUIS HARPER A.M.I.C.E. / MAKER / ABERDEEN. Rock-faced sandstone ashlar, concrete, breeze blocks, brick, cast-iron, steel cables and wood. Stone piers on each river bank carry a pair of braced cyclindrical tapered columns with spiked ball-finials; from the columns are suspended steel cables from which is hung a wooden board-walk; outward from the columns the main cables are secured under ramped stone, concrete, breeze block and brick approaches with cast-iron railings and gates, some of the main posts of which have ball finials. Maker's plaque is on the south side of the horizontal brace between the southern pair of main columns.
