BRIDSTOW CP HALL LANE SO 5824 9/29 Cowhouse/granary and stable about 20 yards north- north-west of Benhall
GV II
Cowhouse/granary and stable. C18. Sandstone rubble with Welsh slate and corrugated asbestos roofs. Rectangular plan-aligned roughly east/west with five-bay cowhouse/granary to west and three-bay stable to east. Two levels. South elevation has regular openings, higher cowhouse/granary part to left; three windows each of two lights to upper level, three entries with cambered heads flanked by small vent loops, deep verges; stable has central 2-light glazing bar casement flanked by pair of vent loops, one 2-light window to each side of central stable door, all three ground floor openings with cambered heads, lean-to on right-hand side has doorway and 2-light window. West gable has tallet stairs rising from south to ledged door above which are nesting boxes. Interior: collar of each truss is supported from tie-beam by two widely spaced posts, curved brace bearing on tie-beam and underside of principal is pegged to each post but not to tie-beam.
