House, now hotel. Probably early C17 with early C19 and later alterations. Timber-frame and sandstone rubble with sandstone dressings, Welsh slate roofs, brick and stone stacks, that to left of gable front with diagonal shafts. L-plan with wings to west-north-west and north-north-east. Cellar, two storeys and attics. South-east elevation has 1:3:1 windows, gable front to each side, the left one has 4-light mullions to first floor and attic, 4- light casement to ground floor and oval panel in gable-top; moulded strings between storeys; C19 part to centre has on first floor a single-light case- ment to left and two glazing bar 4-light casements to its right, the two corresponding large ground floor openings have segmental heads and mid-C20 steel casements of three lights; right-hand C19 gable front has first floor C20 mullion, early C20 four-panelled door to left. Left-hand return elevation has 3-light mullions. Large stone stack to rear and chamfered four-centred doorway to right. Interior reported as having exposed timber-framing and chamfered ceiling beams.
