House, originally a farmhouse. Probably mid to late C17, remodelled and extended with outshuts at rear in Cl9. Slate rubble with roughcast front. Gable ended roof, the right hand end at lower level has grouted scantle slates, the left hand end has asbestos slates. Stone rubble axial tack and projecting stack to right hand gable end. Plan: Appears to be a 3-room and cross or through passage plan, the lower end to the right heated from a gable end stack and the hall heated from an axial stack backing onto the passage. The inner room appears to be unheated. There are 2 single storey outshuts at the rear, probably both C19, the outshut behind the hall is earlier. Exterior: 2 storeys and attic. Nearly symmetrical 4-window range. All C20 3-light casements with glazing bars and slate cills except for the ground and first floor left hand windows which are of 2-lights. Doorway to right of centre has late C19 panelled door, the top panels glazed and an open-fronted porch with a scantle slate roof. Small attic window in lower left hand gable end to side of stack. At the rear 2 single storey outshuts at centre and left and to right a loft doorway. Interior inaccessible at time of survey 1987.
