YATTENDON YATTENDON SU 5574 11/1 The Manor House GV II
House. 1784 and earlier. Red brick with ground floor cill string, C20 wooden cornice, and stone coped panelled parapet with gilded bird finials at ends. Hipped 2-span tiled roof with end stacks. Basement, and 2 storeys; 5 bays, glazing bar sashes. 5 steps and wrought iron railings with urn finials to central half glazed door with rectangular fanlight and oval fan. Doorcase with reeded pilasters supporting small scroll brackets and straight hood. Addition set back to left: C19. Red brick with hipped tile roof. 2 storeys. 2 first floor segmental headed glazing bar sashes. One ground floor C20 three-light leaded casement. B.O.E, Berkshire, p.315.
