5/177 Ring o'Bells Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Dated 1858, possibly incorporating earlier building, with C20 alterations and additions. Limestone rubble, stone dressings and projecting quoins, double Roman tiled and slate roofs with raised coped verges and kneelers and gable stacks. L-plan. 2 storeys and 3 windows, all 6-lights, with square- cut mullions and transom, central gabled porch with datestone, door with raised fillets and overlight. Right return has 2 attic windows of 3 panes each, 2-span roof to main house and lower 2-storey rear wing, gable end to left has ground floor 3-light casement with ovolo mullions and dripstone, similar 2-light window at first floor and attic; to right, 2 windows at ground and first floor, all 2-light C19 casements with chamfered mullions, hood mould and relieving arch, 4-panelled and glazed door to left, similar window at first floor rear. Left return of main block has one ground floor and one first floor similar window and 2 similar attic windows. Gable end of rear wing has ground, first and attic window as at right return, single storey addition to wing with 2 C20 doors and central window. Interior: not inspected.
