Walls attached to south elevation
of Stable Block

Walls. Early C18. Limestone rubble with stone coping. Wall run from south of
Stable for about 50 metres, about 4 metres high, blocked segmental-headed opening
to north and C20 door in square opening to south. Curved retaining wall in
limestone ashlar with pilasters, for midden at south end, about 1½ metres high and
about 9 metres long. Visible in Kip's view of Dyrham and the water garden, 1712.
