PADSTOW NORTH QUAY (north side), Padstow SW 9075-9175 8/114 No. 5 Harbour View, Harbour View 24.4.53 Crafts and Thoughts (formerly listed as Harbour View Hotel)
GV II
Hotel now divided into flats with 2 shops on ground floor. Circa early C19. Slate stone rubble, rendered on base. Slate roof with gable ends and brick end stacks. Plan: Probably originally associated with the harbour and later converted into an hotel; double depth plan with entrance to left of centre, the 2 principal rooms on the front heated by end stacks. Altered in the late C20 when the ground floor was converted into 2 shops and the upper floors into flats. Exterior: 3 storeys. Regular 4 window front with the windows in their original sash openings. Entrance to left of centre with C19 style doorcase with moulded cornice supported on corbelled brackets. C20 window to left and 2 to right. 4 replacement 16-pane sashes on first floor and 4 to second, all openings with brick segmental arches. Interior: Ground floor altered in late C20 when the shops were inserted.
