Parish Church. C12 west tower, C13 north and south aisles, c1330 north chapel, c1340 chancel, C15 clerestory, together with embattled parapet to chancel and south aisle, C16 south porch, north aisle rebuilt 1801. Stone with lead and modern copper roofs. 2 bay chancel, 4 bay nave with tower within west bay. North east chapel and south porch. Chancel has 3-light east window under flat head, 3 windows to south, 2 east ones have 2-lights with cinquefoil ogee heads and quatrefoil, west one is low side window with transom. Mid C14 doorway with hood mould and animal head stops. East window of north chapel 2 pointed lights under 2-centre head. Nave has moulded string with flower ornament below parapet. Clerestory and east gable window are of 2-lights, trefoiled, with quatrefoil in 2- centred head. North aisle rebuilt 1801, date on stone over doorway, intersecting tracery. South aisle east window C14 3-light intersecting tracered window, 2 windows in south wall, east one 3 cinquefoiled ogee lights under square head, west one C13 lancet, also in west wall. 3 stage west tower, embattled parapet. Single trefoil headed windows to bell chamber round headed C12 windows to second storey, 2-light west window. Interior: Chancel has 2-bay arcade into north chapel of 3 orders, octagonal pier. Chancel arch c1350. 2-orders, inner order moulded, outerchamfered, jambs have clustered shafts with moulded bases and caps. Nave arcades c1350 acutely pointed arches of 2 moulded orders and three-quarter hollow between orders, pillars and responds with clustered shafts and similar detail to Chancel arch. Tower arch of 3 orders, 2 inner moulded. Nave roof dated 1637. Font c1350 with octagonal bowl with niches on each face with the Virgin and saints. Octagonal stem has tracery panels each of different design. Communion table C17 with plain turned legs. C15 stained glass figure of bishop in chancel low side window. C15 glass in nave east window and clerestory north west window. Monuments in north chapel: North in north Chapel: North wall Decorated recess with 2 carved oak effigies placed here, the man in armour, the lady in flowing sleeveless gown, probably Thomas Reynes, 1293, and Joan, his wife. West bay of arcade has stone altar tomb with 2 more oak carved figures, Sir Ralph de Reynes, c1309 and Annabelle Chamberlain, his wife. In east bay alter tomb with clunch effigies of Sir John de Reynes., 1427 and Catherine Scudamore, his wife, he in armour. Each long side has 8 tracered niches with alternating male and female figures. On wall 2 monuments iW thesmall family by James Andrews of Olney. 2 C15 brasses in floor. The oak effigies are a rare survival of the first importance.
