House. Now divided into 2 houses and railings to front. Circa late C18. Stone
rubble. Slate roof with hipped end on left and gable end on right.
Plan: Original plan uncertain; probably double depth plan with central entrance and
2 principal rooms on front heated by end stacks. Narrow service rooms to rear. The
house has now been divided into 2 with No.5 on the right comprising the central
entrance, principal front right hand room and service room to rear and No. 3 on left
comprising the principal front left hand room and service room to rear, with the
entrance in the adjoining property to left (qv No 1, The Tastebud).
Exterior: 2-storeys. Almost symmetrical 3-window front with complete early C19
hornless 12-pane sashes. Central panelled door with original doorcase and fanlight
flanked by 2 sashes. 3 sashes above. Moulded eaves cornice.
Interior: Not inspected.
C19 wrought-iron railings and gate to front: the shafts have pierced finials and the
central gate has a braced mid-rail, stanchions with iron finials.
