KIMBOLTON TILBROOK ROAD TL 0868-0968 (NORTH SIDE) 5/1 BUNYAN COTTAGE (FORM- 14.5.59 ERLY LISTED AS HOUSE (NOW TWO TENEMENTS) AT WORNDITCH 450 YARDS NORTH-WEST OF WRIGHTS FARMHOUSE GV II Early C15 and C16 farmhouse with C17 and later alterations and additions. Early C15 cross-wing of two bays and C16 main range of two bays and chimney bay. Intact timber-frame with modern render. Cross-wing and main range re-roofed C17 and plain tiled. C17 bargeboards carved with egg and dart moulding to gable ends. C17 stone stack to gable end of cross-wing. Rebuilt red brick ridge stack to main range. Two storeys. Modern casements, except for one C17 four light casement with ovolo mullions and one C19 horizontal sliding sash to cross- wing. Interior of cross-wing has large baking oven and ingle- nook fireplace. C17 garret floor and plank door to closet in upper bedroom with fielded central panel and ovolo moulding to side panels. Two inglenook fireplaces to main range. RCHM (Hunts) p176, item (39).
