House, now club. Early C19, with later C19 additions.
Sandstone ashlar, and slate roof. Double-depth 3-unit plan
with later addition at left-hand end.
The original house, of 3 storeys and 3 bays, is symmetrical,
in the Classical style, with rusticated quoins. Central
doorway with Ionic porch of 2 pilasters and 2 columns
supporting an entablature with prominent cornice, and
protecting a recessed door with overlight, both altered. The
windows are all 16-pane sashes with projecting sills and plain
reveals; moulded cornice. Chimneys on gables. Attached to the
right-hand end, slightly set back, is an ashlar screen wall to
half-height. At the left end, the one-bay addition has at 1st
floor a 3-light sashed window in C17 style with a hoodmould,
and the roof is hipped at this end. The rear facades altered.
