boundary wall of the late 18th to early 19th Century. Approximately 25 metres to the north and south of the rebuilt (late 20th Century) gate piers to the west entrance of the estate. Brick with flint panels arranged horizontally within the banded brickwork. Brick copings. Part of the boundary wall to Basildon Park that is no longer complete.
This brick and flint wall is of special interest as a late 18th to early 19th Century brick and flint banded wall with excellent group value band historic interest for its role in the enclosure of Grade I Basildon Park. Group Value with Basildon Park (Grade I), Oxford Lodge (Grade II*) and Godwin's Lodges (Grade II).
