Memorial. Dated 1846. Stone. Battered pedestal mounted on steps and surmounted by cornice with acroteria. Plain block above this with steep chamfered top, itself surmounted by a draped urn. Inscription on pedestal records 'As a tribute of veneration and esteem for the public and private benevolence of John Whitaker the founder, this monument is erected by the voluntary contributions of a grateful posterity the 6th day of May 1846 being the 50th anniversary of the establishment of this Sunday School'. On the upper block a low relief bust.
