7/10 Barn and South Stable at Manor Farm 15 metres SW of house -

GV II

Barn and stable. C17 or earlier. 3-bay, timberframed weatherboarded barn facing E with steep thatched roof, hipped to S but gabled to N. Eaves higher in central bay for double doorway. Jowled posts with long curved braces to tie beams. Low walls and steep lofty roof. Single framed, collar rafter roof originally but now propped with purlins. High door in N gable. Lower timber-framed stable attached at S end of E side. Thatched gabled roof. Clasped purlin roof construction. An interesting timberframed group with an archaic form of roof construction in the thatched barn.
