GV II

Terrace of three houses. Late C18, with C20 alterations. Coursed squared sandstone, with pantile roof, hipped at right end, and gable copings to Nos 46 & 50; brick stack to left end of each house. Cellar, 2 storeys and attic; 6-window front. No.46 has door of raised-and-fielded panels with 2 glazed panels, between single-pane sash window to right, and canted bay window with single-pane sashes to left. No.48 has C20 door beneath overlight and bracketed hood, between 12-pane sash to right and canted bay window with 12-pane sash to left. No.50 has C20 door with overlight and grooved flat arch, to right of 16-pane sash with wedge lintel. First floor windows are 12-pane sashes, except for single-pane sash at right end and 16-pane sash at left end. All windows have stone sills, some painted, and all, except bays, flat arches of voussoirs. Grilled cellar openings to Nos 46 & 48. 3-light flat dormer to No.46, and two 3-light raking dormers to No.48. Right return: 2-storey 1-window Market Street front. Both windows are single-pane sashes with painted stone sills, the ground-floor one with wedge lintel.
