TG 2408 SW ROSARY ROAD (north-east side) 25/688 5.6.72. Chapel at Rosary Cemetery. - II Cemetery Chapel. Late C19. Gothic revival. Knapped flint; stone dressings; plain tile roof. 2-bay nave; chancel; south porch and belfry over. porte- cochere. 2-light nave and single-light chancel windows in pentangular apse have 2-centred cusped heads with drip moulds. 3-light traceried west window in similar style. Nave has angle buttresses and gable parapets with shafted kneelers at the west end, plain at the east. Entered through double-leaf door with wrought iron hinges in porch with 2-centred arch with stiff-leaf capitals. Attached porte cochere has 2-centred arches on 3 sides, angle buttresses with pinnacles and a pyramid roof surmounted by a belfy with moulded wooden detail and a shingled roof. Interior: 2-centred chancel and south arches with stiff-leaf capitals; arch-braced roof on stiff-leaf corbels. Re-set tablet on south porch: 'The Rosary burial ground for persons of all denomination registered at the office of the Lord Bishop of Norwich June 14th 1821.
