Former bank. c1905. Ashlar sandstone; timber-frame and plaster; stone-slate roof with 3 gables to front; ashlar end stack. Single storey and attic; entrance to centre left: battened plank oak double doors in shallow stone arch with moulded architrave, keystone with crest and dates 1863, 1905 over; enriched wood lintels over; to left, 4-light window with moulded wood mullions and clerestory, and leaded glazed upper lights with figures, on ashlar plinth under enriched lintel; to right, on ashlar plinth,18-light mullion and transom bay window, with leaded upper lights with figures, under jettied gable with enriched bressummer on angled figureheads, and pillars. Gable over with pierced bargeboards and finial; to left, pair of gables with 2-light and 4-light mullion windows with leaded lights and cusped heads; enriched bargeboards and pendants. Left returned side of ashlar with C20 wing. Rear of painted brick.
Reflects architectural language of the Feathers Hotel, opposite; included for group value.
