Neale's Farmhouse
II
House Late C16 - early C17, altered mid C18. Timber frame,
brick infill with some thin brick. Left gable rebuilt mid C18
in red and vitreous brick with first floor band course and raised
brick window surrounds. Old tile roofs, 2 intermediate brick chimneys
with grouped shafts and dentilled bases. 2 storeys and attic, 4 bays.
Paired barred wooden casements. Outer bays are gabled and projecting
with one casement to attic and 2 to each main floor. Central panelled
door in moulded architrave surround with later cornice hood.
Interior has early C17 oak staircase with turned dumb-bell balusters,
heavy moulded handrail and square newel posts.
