House. c1688 restored mid C19. Built of isle of Wight stone rubble with tiled roof and end brick chimneystacks. 2 storeys and basement. 2 windows. Gable ends with kneelers. Deep plinth. Band between floors ramped up over ground floor windows. Windows are mid C19 sashes with verticals only and horns. 2 storey stone central porch with pediment, kneelers and obtusely pointed arched doorway. Above is a date tablet with the inscription "AN.....1688". Mid C19 6 panelled door. Rear elevation has 3 C17 mullioned windows and some blocked windows. Linked by a modern link block is Bridge Court Cottage, the former brew- house. Late C17 or early C18 of stone rubble with tiled roof and casement windows. A manor first mentioned in the C13. (C W R Winter: The Manor Houses of the Isle of Wight: 184).
