Head gardener's cottage. Late C18 and early C19; altered. Red
brick in English garden wall bond, slate roofs. Linear plan in
two parts, on east-west axis, the dwelling forming the western
half, with former cottage or stores to east. Double-depth
double-fronted house, facing south. Two storeys and three windows,
almost symmetrical; central round-headed doorway with set-in
quarter columns and fanlight with radiating glazing bars;
4-pane sashed windows with raised sills and wedge lintels;
gable chimneys. Other portion (probably earlier) faces north,
has arched doorway at ground floor and casement windows at 1st
floor (three, one and three lights); two similar windows at 1st floor of
rear.
