Small country house. Early to-mid C18. Sandstone ashlar with squared coursed sandstone to sides and rear. Hipped roofs of concrete tile and slate. Main chimneys on north and south walls and near centre of ridge. The east facade is a symmetrical composition of 2 storeys and 7 bays, with chamfered quoins, ground and first-floor sill bands, a storey band, cornice, and parapet. The 3 central bays project forwards slightly under a pediment and are emphasised by chamfered quoins. The windows are glazing bar sashes in architraves with triple keystones. Within the pediment there is a Diocletian window (the outer lights blank) under a curved cornice moulding. The round-headed doorway is set within a sandstone doorcase of engaged Tuscan columns, triglyph frieze, and pediment. INTERIOR: The panelled entrance hall has a floor and bolection-moulded fireplace of marble. An archway with pilaster reveals opens into a rear stair hall which contains a cantilevered stone staircase with iron balustrade. The principal ground-floor rooms have panelling which is said to be of painted plaster.
