GV II

House. C17 and later. Brick, but possibly with timber framed first floor. Whitewashed ground floor, rendered and whitewashed first floor. Pantiled roof. 2 storeys and dormer attic in 3 bays. Panelled door right of centre in deep recess. 2 late C18 sashes left and one horned replacement right, all with glazing bars and earlier flush frames. Sporadic remains of first-floor platband which may mark course of underbuilt jetty. 3 sashes to first floor with glazing bars. Gabled roof rebuilt on lower pitch to original intention. 3 flat-topped dormers with casements. Internal gable-end stack to south on high exposed plinth. North gable wall rebuilt late C19. INTERIOR: not inspected, but likely to be of interest.
