School, Youth centre at time of listing. c.1855. Possibly by Augustus Welby Northmore Pugin. Stone with slate roof. Two storeys, seven bays. Building oriented east-west, with gable end to street. Eastern bay has cross gables to north and south. Ground floor has cross windows, most now blocked (1984). Weathering over ground floor and first floor windows of two ogee-headed lights between flat buttresses. Street gable has three-light pointed window with Decorated tracery. Cross gables have windows of three ogee-headed lights, that to north has statue in niche. Roof has three gabled vents to each side. Wall running along street connects this item with Convent of Mercy (q.v.)
