GV II

Three terraced houses. c.1839-1841, altered C20. Probably by William Chadwell Mylne, Surveyor for the New River Estate. Yellow stock bricks with banded stucco ground-floor and stucco dressings; party-wall brick stacks; roofs obscured. Side-hall entrance plan. Three storeys, 2 windows each except no. 15 which has an additional altered portico extension. Low steps rise to entrance in left bay: doorway with pilaster jambs carrying corniced-head, 4-panelled door (no. 19 C20 door) and rectangular overlight. 6/6 sashes throughout; upper floors with gauged brick flat-arches. 1st floor stucco sill band to full-length architraved sashes with console-bracketed cornices (architraves and details removed from nos. 17-19) and individual cast-iron balconies. Stucco cornice (cut-back) and blocking course. Attached cast-iron railings with finials. Included for group value.
