GV II

Terrace of 3 houses. c1840-1850. Multi-coloured stock brick set in Flemish bond, banded stucco ground-floor and stucco dressings including corner quoins; roofs obscured, party-wall brick stacks. Side-hall entrance plan. Three storeys with basement; 1-window each. Centre bay breaks slightly forward and articulated by giant stucco pilasters to upper floors. Steps rise to deeply recessed entrance: doorway with overlights and panelled and glazed doors. Mostly 6/6 sashes (no. 2 with cast-iron window guard to ground-floor): round-arched sash to ground-floor centre house; architraved sashes to upper floor set in stucco panels; 1st floor bracketed sashes (centre sash with pediment), all with balconies. 1st floor stucco sill band. Significant rebuilding to upper floors of no. 6; stucco band beneath stucco cornice and blocking course.
