House with shops. Late C18, refronted mid C19. Front upper storeys of painted brick in Flemish bond; remainder rendered. Hipped slate roof. Red-brick chimney on left side-wall. 3 storeys; 3-window range with single-light in centre, double-light at either side. Ground storey has horizontally-channelled rendering. To right a pair of projecting segmental-arched openings with pilasters, keystones and top cornice, the latter supporting 3 scroll-buttresses; left-hand opening has 12-paned display window with iron grille of intersecting circles below; right-hand opening has half-glazed double-doors with flush lower panels. To left, 2 original doorways with canted bay window to left again. Second-storey windows have cement voussoirs and keystones. Both upper storeys have barred sashes in concealed frames: 6 over 6 panes in second storey, 3 over 6 panes above. Prominent moulded wooden eaves cornice. Return to Grenville Street of 2 storeys (rise in ground level) and 3-window range. At right-hand end a late C18 round-arched doorway flanked by fluted Doric pilasters supporting entablature; panelled reveals, the bottom panels flush; fanlight with radial bars. Windows have barred sashes in box-frames: 8 over 8 panes in centre of ground storey, 4 over 8 panes to left and centre of second storey, 3 over 6 panes to right. Left-hand ground-storey window has mid C19 sashes with margin-panes and horns. INTERIOR not inspected, but at rear of shop a round-arched doorway having a fanlight with intersecting glazing-bars forming Gothic arches.
