House now 2 dwellings. Late C18 with C19 and C20 additions and alterations, partly covering the site of a medieval hall and possibly incorporating some masonry. Coursed, squared sandstone, stone slate roof, brick stacks. 2 storeys and attic. 3-bay main range with single bay set back to left, gabled early-C20 cross-wing to each end. Quoins. Main range: central part-rendered stone porch with panelled door, Tudor-arched lintel, hoodmould and dripmould over. Moulded kneelers and copings peaked over doorway. To left a hipped-roof, 3-light bay window with square-faced ashlar surrounds. To right a C20 curved wooden bay of 5 lights. Central tripartite window to 1st floor has a central sash with glazing bars in a square-faced surround, to its left a similar single-light sash, to right an altered surround now with iron casement. Bay set back to left: another hipped-roof bay window with a part-glazed door to its right and sash window above. Wing to left: 4-pane sash to each floor, moulded kneelers and gable copings. Wing to right: 3-light square- faced stone window with transom to ground floor, casements with glazing bars to upper floors. Shouldered and corniced brick ridge stacks.
