GV II
Railings, gate and gatepiers. Gate attributed to Thomas Warren. Probably mid C18. Wrought-iron railings dividing Italian Garden from main avenue leading to Castle Ashby (q.v.). Spear finials to railing and urn finials to standards. Plain limestone ashiar gatepiers with urn finials on stepped bases. Wrought-iron gate and railings with ornamental crestings and urn finials to standards. (Castle Ashby park and gardens are included in HBMC Register of Parks and Gardens for Northamptonshire at Grade I)
