Left-hand cottage (Stonebench Cottage) projecting to road is early c19, of red
brick; 2 storeyed with 3 casement windows, doorway with ledged door and gabled
hood and slate roof; gabled end to road altered. Rear wing of 2 cottages (Knowles
Cottages) probably late C18, roughcast; 2 storeys and having 3 casement windows
with gables and 2 plain doorways with wood gabled porches; plain eaves; tiles.
