Circa 1874. Esplanade retaining wall built of granite with cast iron lamp posts numbered up to 64 standing on the parapet having decorative feet and shafts and starting at Battersea Bridge and continuing to a spot opposite Chelsea Royal Hospital garden (ie on both sides of the Albert Bridge).
