House, now two shops and one flat. Probably early C17; altered. Timber frame with painted rubble infill and rubblestone; some tile-hanging. Plain tile roof. Two storeys. Four bays, 1:3, the left bay an addition and having later full-height archway; the three right bays symmetrical with wider central bay having two windows.
Ground floor: two late C20 shop fronts with entrance to No 6A between. First floor: timber-framing has square-panelled sections with arched tension braces between windows and tall panels below. Windows set under wall plate, of three lights, with ovolo-moulded wooden mullions, central iron casements, and leaded glazing. Roof has rebuilt ridge stack between bays one and two.
Rear: No 6 (on left) has rubblestone ground floor, timber-framed first floor; feet of some old rafters visible. Added C20 range (of 1933) not of special interest. Right return: C20 render to ground floor and tile-hanging above. within archway left return of original timber-framed structure has ground floor of rubblestone with brick quoins and timber-framed first floor.
