Cottage. Early C18 or earlier; altered, and renovation and extension in progress
at time of survey (1988). Timber frame with brick nogging (painted white), red
tile roof, brick chimney stack. Single-depth 2-unit plan, with recent addition to
rear. One and a half storeys and 2 bays; timber framing visible in facade
includes wallposts at right-hand corner and in centre, the rail between these,
curved tension braces to both corners (implying wallpost at left corner), and
some studs of light scantling; doorway to left of centre post (under light modern
porch), a 2-light casement on each side, and 2 gableted dormers breaking the
eaves, with similar casements. Attached to the left gable wall is a very large
external chimney stack (with front offsets which have been repaired). Rear
entirely covered by addition. Interior not inspected. Right-hand end adjoins No.35
(q.v.).
